As many as 58 more people succumbed to coronavirus and 1,490 new cases emerged during the last 24 hours, showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.
According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 58 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 21,323 which represents a ratio of 2.3 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan has dropped to 3.02 percent, as 1,490 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 49,285 tests.
It takes the total cases tally to 933,630 that returned positive after conducting 13,572,88 total tests so far. The number of active cases in the country is 47,376 with 3,205 patients in critical condition.
There were 1,820 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 864,931 with a 92.6% recovery rate.
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 306 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 342,498 with 14,237 active cases.
In Punjab, 24 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 10,314. With 757 new recoveries, 317,947 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh has recorded 756 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 323,828 with 23,856 active cases. With 20 new deaths related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh reached 5,136.
With 579 new recoveries, 294,836 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 237 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 134,558 with 4,365 active cases.
The province reported 14 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 4,158. With 176 new recoveries, 126,035 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan has recorded another 90 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 25,819 with 1,139 active cases.
The province reported no new death as the death toll remains 289. With 88 new recoveries, 24,391 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
