KP reports 33 death cases due to Covid-19 in 24 hours

As the Covid-19 continues to ring alarm bells in Pakistan with 137 new deaths and over 5000 fresh cases reported on Tuesday the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is equally grim where thirty three Covid deaths and 1153 cases were reported during the past 24-hours as majority hospitals in the province have exhausted their capacity owing to sharp increase in the pandemic.

With thirty three deaths on Tuesday, the provincial death toll attributable to corona reached 2,953, confirmed KP health department in its daily briefing.

Likewise the New cases reported Tuesday took the provincial tally to 108,462 according to the stats by health department that said the people to have recovered during the last twenty four hours from the pandemic infection are 1,024, taking total recoveries in the province to 91,840.

The hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have been alarmingly overburdened due to soaring cases of Covid-19 According to a report 95 percent ventilators have been occupied with coronavirus patients in Mardan.

In Peshawar 72 percent , Nowshera 68 % and Swat 65 % oxygen beds occupied by the coronavirus patients.

The novel coronavirus has claimed 137 more lives in Pakistan during the last 24 hours, taking the overall death toll to 16,453.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Covid-19, the country reported 137 more deaths due to the pandemic, while 5,445 new cases were reported during the said period.
