A total of 21 matches were played in the PTF President ITF World J5 Junior Tennis Championships 2021 here at the PTF Complex on Wednesday.
Salim Saifullah Khan President Pakistan Tennis Federation visited PTF complex to witness some of the matches and appreciated the arrangements for the successful conduct of the event. He also interacted with the foreign and local players and their parents and coaches.
In Boy’s Singles 2nd Round Main Draw Matches, Dmitry Dolzhenkov (RUS) beat Raahim Agha (GBR) 7-5, 6-0; Siddhartha Lama (USA) beat Sami Zeb Khan (PAK) 6-3, 4-6, 6-1; Carl Holder (FRA) beat Oscar Baumgartner (SUI) 6-2, 6-3; Andrey Kozlov (RUS) beat Lorant Gyori (HUN) 6-2, 7-5; Birtan Duran (TUR) beat Abraar Iqbal (USA) 6-1, 6-3; Sam Kydd Baumgartner (SUI) beat Amir Asylkozhaev (RUS) 6-1, 6-0; Artiom Dorofeev (FRA) beat Meethre Barot (USA) 7-5, 6-3; Yakup Uzunel (DEN) beat Aoi Ooka (JPN) 7-6(2), 6-0.
In Boy’s Doubles Quarter-Finals Main Draw Matches, Carl Holder (FRA), Yakup Uzunel (DEN) beat Hamid Israr (PAK), Sami Zeb Khan (PAK) 6-1,4-6 (10-6); Sam Kydd Baumgartner (SUI), Birtan Duran (TUR) beat Meethre Barot (USA), Siddhartha Lama (USA) 7-5, 6-4; Toa Maeda (JPN), Aoi Ooka (JPN) beat Andrey Kozlov (RUS), Ruslan Serazhetdinov (RUS) 6-3, 5-7 (10-7).—APP
