Chairman of National Business Group of FPCCI, President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum and All Karachi Industrial Alliance, and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain has said that a fifteen percent hike in power tariff will burden masses by over 200 billion rupees.
In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that decision to increase power tariff should be reversed as it will hit economic activities and erode the confidence of the investors.
Mian Zahid Hussain said the government needs not to increase power tariff but to revive the power sector but try to reduce losses, theft and improve recoveries.
