Editor Urdu daily Ghulam Nabi Shaida dies

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Shaida, editor and owner of Urdu daily ‘Wadi ki Awaaz’ breathed his last in Srinagar.
He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Goripora village of Pulwama district. Meanwhile, Secretary General of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Molvi Bashir Ahmad in a statement in Srinagar expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Ghulam Nabi Sheida. He said that his services to the Kashmir freedom movement are invaluable and will always be remembered.
Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmed Dar and International Forum for Justice and Human Rights J&K Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Untoo in a joint statement also expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of noted journalist and a great supporter of freedom movement Ghulam Nabi Shaida. The Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, in a statement also expressed grief over the demise of Shaida.
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) in a statement also expressed grief over the sad demise of Ghulam Nabi Shaida. The JKLF Spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar said that party Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik had a very close relationship with Ghulam Nabi Shaida. Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement expressed deep sense of shock over the sad demise of Ghulam Nabi Shaida.In his condolence message the DFP leader while highlighting his peerless contribution in the field of journalism said that Shaida was one of the pioneering journalists who didn’t hesitate to call a spade a spade. “True to its name Wadi-ki-Awaz is widely recognized in Kashmir as one of the most credible and true voices of the society”, Saghar said
Extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family Saghar prayed to Allah almighty to grant him the highest place in Jannah.—KMS
