FATA Disables’ Welfare Association (FDWA) with support of Headquarter Frontier Corps South on Sunday distributed more than 300 sewing machines and wheelchairs in widows and persons with disability (PWD).
A special ceremony in this regard was held here at Sector Headquarter FC South, attended by Commandant Gomal Scouts, Deputy Commissioner Tank Kabir Afridi, Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Khalid Iqbal Khattak, Administrator Christian Hospital Dr. Nadeem, MS DHQ Tank Dr. Alamgir Bettani, the disabled, widows and deserving women.
Sector Commander South, DC Tank and DC South Waziristan distributed sewing machines among the widows and wheelchairs among PWDs tank and South Waziristan. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman FDWA Irfanullah Jan highly appreciated Pakistan Army and Sector Headquarters FC South for providing platform for distribution of sewing machines and wheelchairs. He said that the role of Sector Headquarters in this regard highly commendable and important.
Irfanullah said that due to the step, persons with disabilities will be able to earn themselves their lives without the help of others. He also thanked IG FC South Major General Omar Bashir and Sector Commander South. He said to ensure assistance to PWDs, the Armed Forces is providing exclusive financial support to our organization on the basis of which we are able to ensure this assistance to the deserving PWDs. He said that a special support was provided by the headquarters Frontier Corps South.
Chairman FDWA said with their special support, the widows of Tank and South Waziristan who have been provided sewing machines today will be able to lead a decent living by sewing clothes in their own homes, while PWDs will also earn themselves. In the end, the participants also offered special prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and Pakistan Army.
