Punjab Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that the investors are being facilitated by the government on priority basis to promote cement industry. He said, the 5 line departments have been directed to issue NOCs within 90 days and five companies have already been issued NOCs.
He was talking to CEO Dhan Cement Anwarul Haq Shad who called on him at PBIT Office and discussed mining lease in Kattas and NOC for installation of a coloured cement plant that will also be used as an alternate to paint. Anwarul Haq said this sort of cement is in great demand in the Gulf and requested that mining lease be restored along-with solving the NOC issue.
Talking on the occasion, Aslam Iqbal said that the cement is an exportable item and no hurdle will be allowed in increasing the production capacity of the cement plants. The government will provide every possible facility to Dhan Cement for the restoration of the mining lease and setting up the cement plant, he assured. The provincial minister said that the incumbent government has ensured that new cement plant NOCs are issued in time as it’s committed to providing facilities to the overseas investors.
