In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Siddiqi, has termed the implicating of Dr Bilquis Shah, the wife of illegally detained senior APHC-leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah, in a false case as a fresh example of political vendetta by the Indian authorities.
India’s Enforcement Directorate implicated Dr Bilquis Shah in a false case registered against her husband in 2005. The ED named Dr Bilquis as an accused in its supplementary chargesheet filed in the case on Wednesday.
Bilal Siddiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that during the last 73 years of illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi had been indulging in all sort of Chanakiyan measures to coerce the pro-freedom leadership to shun the path of resistance.
He said that defaming and accusing Hurriyat leaders and activists under a well-designed conspiracy through fabricated cases and colonial charges had been an old trick of the Indian government to discredit them and to force them into submission. However, he maintained that the Kashmiri people and pro-freedom leadership are well aware of these nefarious designs and are mature enough to them.—KMS
