Abbottabad police has arrested all the five accused involved in the SherYar torture case. DPO Abbottabad Yasir Afridi visited the victim Sher Yar at Poly Clinic Hospital Islamabad on Monday and assured his family members justice and providing protection to the family.
It should be noted that a few days back in village Birot in police station Bakot the area at least four to five persons had brutally tortured on Sher Yar by entering chili in his body through pipe and had also beaten up with iron rods and sticks.
He was shifted to Rawalpindi/Islamabad in critical condition and was admitted in polyclinic in critical condition. After the news circled in social media, IGP KPK and DIG Hazara took action and ordered the local police to arrest the culprits.
In the meantime, all the accused got bail from Punjab and local courts and court has fixed the next date of 9th September for the production of record. After the reports for help to the IGP and DIG as they were threatening dire consequences and further hurt to other family members as they are very influential’s and was harassing the family of the Sher Yar to not to chase the case and withdraw the case as police have already lodged FIR against them.
