Eight anniversary of veteran Kashmiri leader and founder of Kashmir liberation movement Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan was observed Monday in AJK, by Kashmiris in Pakistan and abroad with resolve to redadicate their engeries for continuing and completion of his mission accession of entire Jammu and Kashmir State to Pakistan. At the age of 22 Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan had initiated practical phase of Kashmir liberation movement from Neela Butt Heights earning popular respect as Mujahid Awwal all along his political life.
The anniversary observances started with prayerful Quran Khwani at his Ghaziabad mazar under aegis of Muslim Conference President and former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan; sessions of Quran recitations were also held in memory of the late leader at all district headquarters in AJK and in Kashmiri civic centres in Pakistan and abroad in the U.K., U.S, Paris, Frankfurst, UAE, South Africa;
Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan his devotional address vowed to continue ideological mission of Mujahid Awwal Sardar Qayyum Khan for liberation of remaining part of J&K state and accession of entire J&K to Pakistan; “Our struggle has the backing of history of the partititon of British India into Pakistan and Hindustan; being Muslim majority J&K is a natural part of Pakistan; Kashmiri struggle aims at ousting Indian occupation of their landmass; India is alien in a greater part of J&K state, he warned. The anniversary was officially observed at Muzaffarabad with public addresses by various ministers, leaders of various political and religious parties praising richly ideological role of late Sardar Mohammad Abdul Qayyum Khan who was paid rich homage.
