A three-day exhibition of art works by young artists was kicked off at Punjab Council of the Arts here on Saturday.
Naheed Manzoor flanked by Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmad, Senior Artist Azhar Qureshi, Shagufta Azhar and Ghazi Baig inaugurated the exhibition.
The exhibition was jointly organized by the PUCAR and the Art Knowledge Academy with the participation of the students of the academy.
The exhibition features paintings by more than 70 artists. Notable among them are traditional field orchards, mountains, forests, cities, birds of prey and Islamic calligraphy.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Naheed Manzoor said that young artists are an asset of Pakistan. Pakistani artists are rich in art and are making Pakistan famous all over the world.
He said that various aspects of art were covered in the joint exhibition. It is also an art to combine different subjects of art in one exhibition.
Director Punjab Arts Council Waqar Ahmed said that Arts Council has always provided a platform for the youth to take their art to the world.
