A young labourer was tortured to death by administrator of a tent service after verbal clash here in the provincial capital on Sunday.
According to details, Fiaz 20, used to work as daily wager for Rs800/day at a tent service in Hanjarwal area of Lahore.
The youth exchanged hot words with Intizar, the administrator of tent service and the verbal clash turned violent after which the accused brutally tortured Fiaz leaving him critically injured.
The injured youth was rushed to hospital but could not survive. The police arrested the culprit. Heirs of the deceased alleged that the influential brother of accused was threatening them of dire consequences if they tried to pursue case and was pressuring to withdraw the case.
The police said that they have arrested accused Intizar and further investigation into the incident was underway.
