IUCN member organizations and partners gathered at Keti Bunder, the Guinness World Record site, to commemorate the World Environment Day 2021.
Senator (r) Javed Jabbar, former IUCN Vice President and Regional Councillor Asia was the chief guest at the event.
Senator (r) Jabbar thanked IUCN and the Forest Department, Government of Sindh, for organizing the event at a historical and important site.
Stressing on the theme of the World Environment Day “Ecosystem Restoration,” he lauded vision of the Prime Minister and leading role of Malik Amin Aslam in gaining the global recognition for the extraordinary achievements by Pakistan on the environmental front.
He appreciated the efforts and role of the IUCN members throughout the country in highlighting the importance of the World Environment Day.
