Chairman International Lawyers Forum (ILF), Nasir Ahmed Advocate has said that the women workers are to be ‘a matter of pride of Pakistan’. He stated this in his statement on the occasion of the International Labour Day.
To mark the Day, the ILF organized award ceremony for working women across the country during which twenty (20) awards in different categories were given to Polio Worker Aqsa Asghar, National Weightlifting Champion Arjumand Khan, Sanitary Worker Camma, Free Lance Journalist Erum Gulzar, Cotton Worker Ganga, Patchwork Maker Hanifa, Sindh Police’s onstable Kaneez Jamal, Staff Nurse Lubna Perveen, Farmer Mariam, Executive Secretary Nafeesa Mohd Ali, Advocate High Court Roop Mala Singh, Foodpanda Raider Rubab Jumani, Housemaid Rubina, Advocate & Consultant Sadia Maqbool, NICVD Nurse Shabana Rasheed, Pharmaceutical Packaging Worker Shabana, I.T.
Consultant Sister Mariyam, Principal, St. Paul’s School Sister Shakila George (FMCK), Garments Factory Worker Sumaria Naz and Dry Fruit Seller Usha.
A large number of sisters of Christian Missionaries, dignitaries from different level of society, distinguished guests, lawyers community and other people were participated the ILF Award Ceremony.
Jamshed Ali Khowaja Advocate distributed the gusts among participants while, Barrister Syed Jaffer Abbas Jafri fulfilled the responsibilities of comparing.
