The World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Pakistan, Dr Palitha Mahipala, hands over Rain and flood relief equipment and supplies to the Government of Sindh. The Minister of Health and Population Welfare Dr Azra Pechuho received the equipment and supplies and thanked the WHO head on behalf of the people and Government of Sindh.
The equipment and supplies included essential medicine, water purification tablets, face masks, hand sanitizers, mosquito nets, tents and fleece blankets. In Sindh, a total of 164,886 population is affected approximately.
The Health Department has setup 2,606 health camps (fixed and mobile) and 68,576 patients were treated at these camps.
