Welfare of destitute families of overseas Pakistanis Govt’s priority

Honorable Federal Secretary M/o OP & HRD on Thursday during the visit to OPF Regional office, Multan distributed cheques amongst the destitute families of overseas Pakistanis.

He said that OPF provides an amount of Rs. 400,000 to the families of deceased Overseas Paki-stanis and Rs. 300,000 to disabled applicants under its Financial Aid Scheme.

The Honorable Federal Secretary pledged and in-formed that OPF is responsibly extending its ser-vices to overseas Pakistanis abroad and their fami-lies in Pakistan in the true letter & spirit with the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Further, he elaborated the benefits of the Scheme and share that OPF has started this Financial Aid Scheme in 19881 and so far 12177 families of de-ceased overseas Pakistanis have been benefited by the Scheme amounting to Rs. 2.493 billion.

He informed that this is one time nonrefundable grant aimed to help the bereaved family to over-come their initial financial problems soon after the demise or disability of their earning members.
