The KW&SC has successfully concluded its annual maintenance work, signaling the resumption of water supply across the city. According to the spokesperson for the corporation, the Dhabiji Pumping Station has completed its maintenance tasks for the 2023-24 period.
This milestone ensured the restoration of electricity supply to all feeders at the pumping station, a critical step in ensuring uninterrupted water distribution. Furthermore, addressing infrastructure concerns, water corporation has efficiently repaired leaks detected on the 84-inch PVC mainline at Phase One.
This proactive measure is aimed at optimizing the water distribution network and minimizing wastage. Currently, the KW&SC is engaged in charging all water lines, a process essential for ensuring a seamless flow of water to consumers. With these concerted efforts, it is anticipated that the city’s water supply will return to normalcy by tonight.
