Virus claims 31 more lives, cases reach 23,655

In Pakistan on Wednesday, the confirmed coronavirus cases reached 23,655 and with thirty more deaths the death tally moved to 545.
The province-wise tally of Covid-19 patients stands at 8,693 cases in Punjab, 8,640 in Sindh, 3,712 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,663 in Balochistan, 386 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 485 in Islamabad and 76 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir after new cases have emerged. The virus has claimed at least 545 lives while at least 6,217 coronavirus patients have recovered.
The Punjab Health Department, in its daily report, has reported 560 new coronavirus cases taking the provincial tally to 8,693 and 12 more deaths to bring the toll to 156.
Meanwhile, the Sindh health department has issued an advisory for isolation of Covid-19 patients, according to which it is the patient’s choice whether to isolate at home or a government-run isolation centre. On the other hand Sindh has reported 451 new cases, and nine more deaths.
