DUBAI – Visa facilitation firm, VFS has announced the opening of world’s biggest visa application center in Middle east, it emerged on Monday.
VFS Global has officially opened its flagship Visa Application Centre in Dubai’s Wafi City, claiming it as the largest facility of its kind anywhere in the world.
The center spans 150,000 square feet and has the capacity to process up to 10,000 visa applications per day as per an official statement.
The center will be staffed by more than 400 visa professionals representing over 25 nationalities, to provide efficient and multilingual service to a diverse range of applicants from different parts of the world.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, described the centre as a strategic step in reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub.
‘Visa facilitation plays a pivotal role in attracting global talent, boosting tourism, and forging international collaborations — all of which are central to our ambition of making Dubai the most connected and future-ready city in the world,’ he said.
The official added that the center is more than just an operational upgrade and underscores Dubai’s broader commitment to enhancing global mobility, expanding access to opportunity, and driving economic growth across tourism and business sectors.
As per the official data shared by the company, VFS Global operates 3,616 application centres across 158 countries and since its founding in 2001, it has processed over 311 million visa applications.
