The menace of power blackouts in assorted areas of Karachi has once again been gripping the people of the city by heart.
Load is being shed at any time during day and night and worst affected areas include parts of New Karachi, blocs of North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Buffer Zone, Malir, Korangi, Landhi, old City Areas, garden East, etc.
It has been a routine that the power supply is disconnected at 11 am in the morning till 4 pm in the evening and at about 12 or 2 am. This has writhed the nerves of the Karachiites.
The situation is prevailing since past one week while the consumers complained that the power distribution company – K-Electric has not informed them about any repair and maintenance work on lines and system and if there was any such business, it should not prevail over a week time which was a sufficient time to complete the repair and maintenance.
