Guterres suggested that “all doors must be open” for girls and boys to “have an education and reach their full potential.” While visiting a girls’ school in the eastern province of Nangarhar, the Commissioner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, stressed that the Afghan authority should take real action to reopen schools.
The Islamic Emirate earlier announced that all schools will be reopened for girls and boys on March 22 across Afghanistan. —Tolo News
