All-out measures are being taken to a smooth flow of traffic in Sheikhupura City and all illegal rickshaw stands and fruit selling push carts will be remove to ease traffic congestion.

“All those hampering smooth flow of traffic and creating hurdles on public place will be dealt with sternly”, declared Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police Shoukat Ali Joyia.

He said that all possible steps will be taken to improve traffic management in the City and end black points from also city roads.

Talking to local newsmen here in his office, he said that there would be zero tolerance for corruption and corrupt elements would shown the door.

Answering a question, he said that he had constituted teams that would held pickets on various points in the city and take action against those using vehicles without number plates, green number plates and revolving lights without any permission from the authority concerned.

Shoukat Ali Joyia said that district traffic police has been issuing licences in a transparent manner after fulfilling all the requisite tests and process. The DSP traffic police claimed that merit is being followed in letter and spirit.
