‘Ease of Doing Business Reforms’ reviewed

Chairman Planning & Development Board, Abdullah Khan Sumbal convened a meeting to review and finalize the 7th Ease of Doing Business Reforms Action Plan.

The meeting also reviewed progress on Pakistan Regulatory Modernization Initiative (PRMI).

PIU Program Director Ali Jalal gave a detailed presentation and informed that the reforms under 7th Reform Action Plan have been designed to facilitate the private sector and create a conducive business environment for domestic and foreign investors. Progress on Pakistan Regulatory Modernization Initiative was also discussed.

The P&D Board chairman stressed the need for successful implementation of the initiative and ensured full support of Planning & Development Board to all the implementing agencies in achieving the targets set for the year.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Planning & Development Board, Imran Sikandar Baloch, Secretary Industries Dr Wasif Khurshid, LDA DG Ahmed Aziz Tarrar and senior representatives from Board of Revenue, PLRA, Lesco, PESSI, Lahore High Court and the Wasa MD.
