Timely completion of ongoing development projects in Pakistan Railways is an important need of the hour.
The Government of Pakistan provides us with substantial funds for these development projects for which we have to accelerate the pace of develop-ment projects with honesty and hard work. These views were expressed by Secretary / Chairman Railways
Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani while presiding over a meeting on old and new development projects of Pakistan Railways at Railway Headquarters Office, Lahore.
Secretary / Chairman Railways Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani was briefed by Chief Project and Planning Officer Railways Mrs. Ambreen Zaman about 38 new and old development projects in the railways.
The Secretary / Chairman Railways said that in the second week of every month, the performance re-port regarding the development projects of the rail-ways would be reviewed monthly.
He said that project directors of all development projects would not be replaced till their projects were completed.
The Chairman Railways was briefed on the devel-opment projects through Pakistan Railway Planning Portal Software which provides an overview of project preparation, performance and utilization of funds online so that utilization and disbursement of funds from start to finish.
Everything can be done online. The meeting was attended by Additional General Manager Infrastruc-ture Asif Matin Zaidi, Additional General Manager Traffic Syed Mazhar Ali Shah, Additional General Manager Mechanical Salman Sadiq, DG Planning Ministry of Railways Amir Ali Baloch, Chief Pro-ject and Planning Officer Mrs. Ambreen Zaman and all the project directors.
