Three Saddar shopkeepers booked on torture charges



A case has been registered on Tuesday against three unidentified shopkeepers of Saddar Mobile Market for torturing lifter staff of Preedy Traffic Section in Saddar area the other day.

According to police, an FIR was registered at Preedy police station at the complaint of Traffic Police official in which complainant maintained that when two wrongly parked motorcycles near Vivo Mobile Market were lifted some 2 to 3 unidentified persons approached the government vehicle and started torturing the lifter staff.

Video of the incident also made rounds over social media.  Concerned traffic police officials told APP that when the wrongly parked motorbikes were lifted the shopkeepers rushed towards lifter vehicle and started torturing the staff.

Meanwhile, Rizwan Irfan, President, Karachi Electronic Dealers Association told APP that shopkeepers were firstly beaten up by the lifter staff.
