Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate of Af-ghanistan reacted to the Reuters report citing the UN that the Taliban have killed over 100 former security officials since they came to power on Au-gust 15 last year. The Ministry in a Twitter post said that the Taliban have killed no one since they announced a general amnesty and those who have been killed were the results of personal enmity.

“No one has been killed since the supreme leader announced a general amnesty, the former security officials who have been killed were due to personal enmity that is also under investigation.” Reads the Twitter post.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has asked the UN not to prepare reports based on the information of biased figures and see facts on the ground.

Yesterday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern about the situation in Afghani-stan and added that over one hundred former secu-rity officials or those who had worked for foreigners have been killed since the Taliban announced gen-eral amnesty.— KHAAMA PRESS
