Dow University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Saeed Quraishy has said that in order to save a paralyzed patient from permanent disability, it is necessary to provide him with immediate diagnosis and treatment.
A stroke unit has been set up on the drive so that the affected person can be saved from life-long disability and become a useful member of the society. He said this while speaking after formally inaugurating the “Hyper Acute Stroke Unit” for stroke patients at Dow University Hospital.
Earlier, in connection with the World Stroke Day organized by the Department of Medicine of Dow University, an academic session for family physicians and general practitioners entitled “The Power of Saving Precious Time” was presented by domestic and foreign experts regarding stroke.
