The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has reported a remarkable growth of 34 percent, collecting Rs. 126.8 billion during the first seven months of the financial year 2023-24. This impressive figure surpasses the Rs. 94.6 billion collected during the same period in the previous financial year of 2022-23. Despite facing economic challenges, the SRB has remained dedicated to its mission of tax collection, reflecting resilience and efficiency in revenue generation, as stated by the CM.

The recent data reveals that the SRB collected Rs. 18.3 billion in January 2024, exhibiting a substantial growth of over 28% compared to the Rs. 14.3 billion collected in January 2023. The success of the SRB in achieving revenue growth is attributed to the continued trust and cooperation of SRB taxpayers, the support of the Government of Sindh, and the tireless efforts of the SRB officers and staff. Despite adverse factors such as low economic growth and a stagnant tax base, the SRB is focused on achieving the assigned revenue target of Rs. 235 billion for the current year of 2023-24.
