KARACHI – Sindh Police have launched an online registration application to record tenant-related information across the province, aiming to enhance urban security and streamline the registration process.
A police spokesperson saidSindh Police is continuously advancing its digitalisation efforts, and as part of this initiative, an online tenant registration facility has been introduced.
The service, titled “Tenant Registration for Urban Security & Tracking (TRUST)”, is available on the official Sindh Police website.
Property owners can now register tenant details online through the portal, enabling them to fulfil legal requirements from home without visiting police stations.
Under the Tenancy Act, landlords are required to submit tenant information to the relevant police station. Previously, this process required physical visits by both landlords and tenants, but the new system allows for online legal registration.
The spokesperson said the TRUST system ensures secure registration under the Residential Act framework. The online platform will improve tenant identification and tracking, contribute to public safety, and save time for citizens by eliminating the need for in-person visits to police stations.
Sindh Police described the initiative as a step towards a “verified tenant, secure neighbourhood” concept, calling it a transparent and modern approach to tenant registration.
Citizens were urged to cooperate with police to help build a safer and more peaceful society.
