Sindh demanding its right, not begging: Dharejo

Minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Department Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo has said that due to the federal government’s inadequate and inefficient policies, industries in Sindh are suffering from destruction and are asking the federal government for rights and are not begging.
He said this while addressing a joint press conference with representatives and office bearers of industrialists’ organizations here at Karachi Press Club Thursday.
Muhammad Javed, Chief Coordinator of Karachi Industrial Forum, Zubair Motiwala, President of the Council of Pakistan Textile Association, Salman Chawla, Islamuddin, Ali Shahid, Nasim Akhtar, Ahmed Chennai and others were also present on the occasion.
Provincial Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo further said that Karachi industrialists had been inviting the attention of federal government that industries were being destroyed due to load shedding of electricity and gas, so it is possible to estimate the situation of the country’s economy and federal ministers on the other hand were making tall claims on economy and it was really a shocking situation.
He said , ‘ The Prime Minister comes to Karachi but he does not have time to listen to the problems of Sindh industrialists. Federal ministers from Karachi have also kept their eyes closed on these issues’.
The minister said that gas stoppages had left millions of homes cold. Thousands of people have become unemployed and are suffering severe mental stress. Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerc & Cooperative Department Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo said that Sindh is providing 70% of gas domestic production and Sindh exports 55% but its legitimate rights are denied.
He said thatdue to the unjust policies of the unqualified government, heavy gas taxes of Rs. 175 billions have been levied which are unbearable and are destined to destroy industries.
Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that people of Sindh and Sindh are demanding their constitutional and legal rights. He was of the opinion that the Industries were in danger of shutting down if the federation did not provide immediate gas supply to them. Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo said.
The federal government should take the nails to the senses. The federal government and its ministers have to be serious on national issues. Provincial Minister Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo assured the industrialists that Sindh government stands with Sindh industrialists who will be with them whatever happens.
