The Sindh Human Rights Department has launched a campaign to promote awareness and protection of human rights, starting with an awareness walk led by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Human Rights, Rajveer Singh Sodha. The event, attended by government officials, law enforcement representatives, teachers, students, and civil society members, aimed to emphasize collective responsibility in safeguarding fundamental rights. Prominent attendees included the department’s secretary, Tahseen Fatima, Sindh Human Rights Commission Chairperson Iqbal Detho, Deputy Commissioner Malir Saleemullah Odho, Rangers Wing Commander Afzal Bhatti, and AIG Gender Crime & Human Rights Cell Shehla Qureshi.

Participants held banners and placards while chanting the slogan “Voice for Rights, Together for All” to spread awareness. Speaking at the event, Sodha stressed that the campaign would not be confined to a single day but would continue across Sindh.

“We will take human rights awareness to schools, colleges, and public spaces so that more people understand their rights and contribute to their protection,” he said. He reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to safeguarding fundamental rights and utilizing all available resources for this cause.
