PESHAWAR/QUETTA – Security forces have killed four terrorists in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In Balochistan, security forces conducted an operation near Mal Madrasa in Surab district under Operation Raddul Fitna 3 following information about the presence of terrorists between Mal Madrasa and Batigo.
An exchange of fire took place during the operation, in which one terrorist was killed while another managed to escape. Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorist, the sources said.
Separately, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, under the Istehkam-e-Pakistan vision.
Security sources said three terrorists were killed during the operation, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from them.
The sources said security forces also precisely targeted and destroyed terrorist hideouts in Mir Ali and surrounding areas. They added that an attempt by terrorists to stop a ration truck near Mir Ali Bazaar was also foiled.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the country and establishing lasting peace, according to the sources.
Earlier, security forces have killed seven terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces conducted an IBO in Bara and killed five terrorists linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan” were eliminated. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists.
The operation resulted in the destruction of militant hideouts in the area, according to the security sources.
In Balochistan, security forces carried out an operation in Naukcha, Chagai district, under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
Two militants were killed after they allegedly set fire to an empty water bowser and attempted to flee, the sources said.
The two militants were also allegedly involved in arson attacks at various locations along the N-40 highway.
The security sources further said that 11 militants involved in similar subversive activities had been killed on August 31.
