Security forces have killed 15 militants affiliated with India-backed Fitna al-Khawarij during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted in different parts of Balochistan.
According to media reports quoting sources, the operations were carried out under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki districts.
A substantial cache of weapons and ammunition was also seized during the raids, while the operations inflicted considerable losses on the militant network active across the province.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the operations, particularly the killing of 15 militants. He praised the personnel for demonstrating professionalism and courage, saying their actions had frustrated the plans of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij.
Naqvi reiterated the government’s resolve to eliminate militant groups associated with Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij from Balochistan.
Earlier this week, security forces killed three militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan and apprehended 12 suspects during a search and sanitisation operation in the Kambela and Asimabad areas of Mastung.
Pakistan has experienced a marked increase in militant attacks since 2021, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, following the Afghan Taliban’s return to power.
