SAPM hails COTHM services

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Tourism Syed Wasi Ahmad Fatimi has said the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) is doing great work and implementing its curriculum in an efficient manner.

Talking to the media after visiting the college here on Monday, he said, “The COTHM is playing a significant role in strengthening the tourism sector in the country.” Wasi Ahmad said it was being discussed to hold conference on Tourism and Food in Expo Centre besides organising competitions possibly in November or December. Prominent chefs from all over the world would attend the conference.

He said that COTHM was imparting skills to students and enhancing their value in national and international job markets. He said that students, after passing out from COTHM, could even start their businesses as an entrepreneurs. The SAPM said that COTHM had 16 branches, and its commitment towards tourism was commendable. Earlier, COTHM Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Shafiq briefed the special assistant about working of the institute and later Wasi Shah also visited different sections of the college. A souvenir was also presented to the SAPM.
