Drizzle in city, wet spell likely to continue

Drizzle in the provincial capital on Monday morning turned the weather pleasant, while the Met office has forecast the wet spell with occasional gaps (isolated heavy falls) is likely to continue till Thursday. According to a spokesman of Pakistan Meteorological Department, a low pressure area (LPA) was located over Southeast of Rajistan (India) and likely to move south westwards during next 48 hours.

Under the influence of this system, rain/wind-thunderstorm was expected in North & Eastern Punjab including Potohar region, Murree, Galliyat, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Okara, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur till Thursday with occasional gaps. Few heavy to isolated very heavy falls may inundate low lying areas and farmers were advised to manage their crop activities accordingly, while tourists and travelers were also advised to remain cautious to avoid any untoward situation during the period, he added.
