I am bitterly angry that Southern African Development Community which aims to ensure economic wellbeing and improvement of the standards of living and quality of life for the people of Southern Africa has failed Zimbabwe on numerous occasions. This institution is not fit for purpose and never condemned or voice concerns over the deteriorating economic conditions in Zimbabwe. The 39th Ordinary Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) which was held in Tanzania on 17 and 18 August 2019 failed to tackle issues that are threatening to erode the economic stamina of Zimbabwe.
This organisation is corrupt and mismanaged and its existence should be extinguished. SADC should have condemned President Mnangagwa for human rights abuses in Zimbabwe and exodus of Zimbabweans into South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and other countries. If situation is not urgently addressed regarding economic wellbeing of Zimbabwe, then South Africa, Botswana and Namibia will pay a huge price for economic collapse of Zimbabwe.
