In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the blasphemous remarks by a BJP leader, Satpal Sharma, in Reasi area of Jammu continue to evoke more condemnation.
Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) while condemning Satpal Sharma has said that the BJP’s Hindutva agenda has started showing its true colours in the occupied. Terming the profane remarks against the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a big conspiracy, a JKNF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the nefarious motives behind the highly condemnable act was to stoke communal violence so that bloodthirsty Hindu extremists could find an opportunity to carry out massacre of Muslims in the territory particularly in Jammu region.
The spokesman, however, made it clear that no Muslim would ever tolerate this kind of abusive language against the Prophet (PBUH). He said that the language used by the BJP zealot was a direct assault on the sentiments of Muslims.
The President of Kashmir Trade Alliance, Aijaz Shahdhar, in a statement strongly condemning the blasphemous remarks by the priest said it seems this anti-social person has a backing to flare-up communal tension in the occupied territory.
He said the blasphemer should be given stringent punishment so that nobody indulges in such heinous acts in the future.
Secretary south Kashmir Himayat-ul-Islam, Abu Tariq Ghulam Nabi Mir, in a statement also condemned the offensive comments against prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the Hindu priest.
He said the sacrilegious incident has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslims.
He demanded stern punishment to the culprit. He supported Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam’s call for peaceful protests on Friday against the blasphemous act.
Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement (JKPPFM) Vice Chairman, Qazi Muhammad Imran, in a statement issued in Islamabad said that India’s BJP government was playing with the sentiments of the oppressed Kashmiri Muslims.
He appealed to the United Nations and human rights bodies to take notice of the blasphemous acts by the Indian government-backed extremists.—KMS
