Pakistan wicket-keeper batter, Mohammad Riz-wan, has expressed his readiness to swap his batting position with Pakistan opener, Fakhar Zaman, if required.

During a media talk on Friday in Colombo, Rizwan was asked about the possibility of changing his batting position to facilitate Zaman. Rizwan responded by lauding Zaman’s recent achievement as ‘player of the month’ and also expressed his willingness to adjust batting positions for the benefit of the team.

“Fakhar Zaman has recently been ‘player of the month’ as far as I can recall. It has been circulating that Fakhar Zaman isn’t in form, but if you see the early part of his last few innings, the ball is hitting his bat, but he’s been getting out in different ways. If he was getting out in the same pattern, then we could have concluded that there might be a [technical] fault,” Rizwan said.—AFP
