Religious scholar Maulana Abdul Lateef passes away

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, renowned religious scholar, Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Abdul Lateef Butt, has passed away in Srinagar. According to Kashmir Media Service, Maulana Abdul Lateef had been performing the duties of imam and khateeb at a mosque in Zena Kadal area of Srinagar.

The Grand Mufti of occupied Kashmir, Mufti Nasirul Islam, in a statement expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Maulana Abdul Lateef and extended his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family. He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Forum led by its Chairman, Muhammad Huzaifa, went to the house of the deceased in Srinagar to express condolence to the bereaved family. The delegation members prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the aggrieved family members to bear this loss with patience.—KMS
