Religious minorities being harassed, victimized in India: Mir Shahid

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mir Shahid Saleem has said that religious minorities are being harassed and victimized in India at the behest of a communal group in power.

Mir Shahid Saleem addressing a protest rally against the discrimination of a Sikh student in Jammu said it seems that the controversy over hijab, which started in Karnataka, has now turned to Sikhs.

He said that the communal Hindutva mentality was behind the manner in which the management of the school had not allowed a Sikh student to enter the school with her head covered.

Mir Shahid Saleem appealed to all religious minorities living in India to launch a united struggle against the fascist and communal forces in India.—KMS
