In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Istiqlal Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League have demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails of the territory and India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Tehreek-e-Istiqlal Chairman Ghulam Nabi Waseem and General Secretary Abdul Hameed visited Sopore and met Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi, who was released from illegal detention a few days ago.
Speaking on the occasion, Tehreek-e-Istiqlal leaders congratulated Farooq Tawheedi on his release. They said that all attempts by India to subjugate the freedom-loving Kashmiri people by force would fail.
They said arrests, detentions and other brutal tactics by India cannot force the Kashmiris to give up their freedom struggle.
They said that many Kashmiri detainees including APHC Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Altaf Ahmed Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo and Ghulam Qadir Butt were suffering from various ailments.—INP
