The Provincial Election Commissioner has directed all Regional Election Commissioners to strictly observe violations of the code of conduct as there were complaints that Mayors/Deputy Mayors, Chairmen/ Deputy Chairmen were misusing office resources in the Election Campaign of contrasting candidates in Sindh.
In a letter addressed to the Regional Election Commissioners and Regional. Monitoring Coordinators/ District Monitoring officers were informed that misusing office resources by above mentioned office holders was a clear violation of the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan for the conduct of General Elections-2024. They were directed to take legal action against the violators and send audio/visual proofs and documentary evidence, if any to the provincial election commissioner’s office for further necessary action.
