Pakistan Rangers Sindh and the police, a successful joint operation in Karachi’s Orangi Town has resulted in the apprehension of three suspects involved in fraud, abduction for ransom, and extortion. The suspects, identified as Kamal alias Kami, Shiraz Khan alias Shizi alias Boss, and Rao Irfan, were captured by law enforcement authorities.

Following their arrest, fake documents, including two counterfeit South Defense Department cards, and extortion notes were seized from the suspects, as reported by a spokesperson of Sindh Rangers.

Investigations revealed that the apprehended individuals had been masquerading as Rangers and police personnel on social media platforms, utilizing uniformed videos to carry out their illicit activities. Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the abduction of numerous citizens from different parts of Karachi, including Orangi Town, Steel Town, and Sultanabad. They admitted to transferring the victims to rented accommodations and releasing them only after receiving ransom payments.

Authorities have launched raids to apprehend other members of their criminal network.

The arrested suspects, along with the confiscated items, have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
