LONDON/ISLAMABAD – British authorities revoked visa of Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt, forcing social media star to leave the country. Home Office issued formal written order, revealing that Butt failed to disclose an active legal case against him under Section 295 in Pakistan.

Rajab who reportedly left Britain on British Airways flight arranged following deportation orders. Investigators confirmed that he did not mention pending cases during his visa application, a major violation that triggered the Home Office’s swift action.

The drama started when Britain’s MI-16 detained Butt along with fellow content creator Nadeem Naniwala after receiving anonymous allegations linking them to terrorism. Both were later cleared, with Naniwala, a British citizen, released.

More documents checked by Home Office uncovered undisclosed legal cases that Pakistani authorities had already flagged, prompting Rajab Butt’s immediate expulsion. Naniwala accompanied Butt back to Pakistan. UK later clarified that the removal was conducted under immigration rules due to visa violations.

Adding to legal whirlwind, both Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala secured protective bail from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ahead of their return. The court ruled that authorities cannot arrest them at Islamabad Airport and instructed them to appear personally before the court on Wednesday.

Justice Raja Inam Amin issued the orders while hearing petitions from the influencers, who are currently facing multiple cases, including cybercrime-related charges, across various jurisdictions.

YouTube vlogger Rajab Butt faced backlash over his perfume brand “295”, as the name was linked to Section 295, Pakistan’s blasphemy law. He clarified it was a tribute to late singer Sidhu Moose Wala, not a reference to blasphemy.

After widespread criticism, Rajab apologized, reaffirming his respect for Islamic figures and support for the law, and announced he would discontinue the perfume.
