LAHORE – Rabiul Awwal Moon was not sighted in Pakistan on Wednesday, and Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be observed on September 17 Tuesday.

Ruet Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad said third month of the Islamic calendar will begin on Tuesday, after a meeting held in capital city Islamabad. Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees also convened in various locations, including Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Lahore.

Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) is deeply significant day for faithful as it commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the final prophet of Islam. This occasion is a time for Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s life, teachings, and exemplary character, reinforcing their love and reverence for him.

The day is usually a public holiday in Pakistan and it fosters community and unity, with gatherings and events where believers come together to celebrate and strengthen their faith. The event also inspires acts of charity and good deeds, following the Prophet’s example of compassion and generosity.

Eid Miladun Nabi serves as a moment for spiritual renewal, encouraging Muslims to recommit to the principles of Islam and the Prophet’s teachings in their daily lives.

Will there be a public holiday in Pakistan on September 6?
