Qasim Ali Shah School Academy Among 93 Sealed In Lahore

Qasim Ali Shah School & Academy was among 93 illegal commercial buildings sealed in the Punjab capital.

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed these premises during operations in Lahore’s various housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas on Friday.

According to the details, LDA’s Town Planning Wing sealed 21 buildings in Gulberg and Model Town Extension, 32 in Shadman and Gulshan-e-Ravi, 30 in Audit and Accounts Scheme, and 10 on Defence Road for illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees.

Besides Qasim Ali Shah School/Academy, the sealed premises include Aaas School System, Revoo Electric Motorcycles, Smart Tailors, Khalid Medical Centre, beauty salons, grocery stores, food points, offices, and other businesses.

LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, and Chief Town Planner II, Azhar Ali, supervised the operations. LDA’s enforcement teams carried out these operations with the assistance of the Police.

According to the LDA officials, owners of these illegal buildings were served several notices before carrying out these operations.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against violations of building bylaws, illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialisation fees in LDA-controlled areas and Lahore’s housing schemes.
