Punjab to Bring All Public Services Under One Digital Platform

The Punjab government has decided to gradually shift all government services to the digital platform “Maryam Ki Dastak.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Thursday assigned the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) the task of digitally transferring all public services.

The CM visited the PITB headquarters, where Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf briefed her on various digital projects and initiatives. She was informed that under Accelerate Punjab, a “Tech Fund” would be established for startups in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi, while Punjab Commerce Hubs would also be developed in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Multan.

According to the briefing, the CM Internship Programme received 19,000 applications. Of these, 585 internships have been completed, while 1,692 are currently underway.

A total of 60,000 scholarships are also being awarded under Phases I and II of the programme.

Regarding e-auctions, officials said that 612,953 auctions had been conducted so far, generating Rs74 billion in revenue. Measures are also being taken to ensure transparency in government contracts.
