Punjab fixes new date to pay salaries to THESE employees

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed that Suthra Punjab workers be paid their salaries by the fifth of every month and sought monthly payment reports from relevant companies.

The chief minister issued the orders while chairing a special review meeting in Lahore. She also ordered prompt action over salary delays and early clearance of outstanding payments to contractors.

The chief minister has also directed authorities to improve the province’s cleanliness system, ensure timely payment of workers’ salaries and strengthen field monitoring under the Suthra Punjab programme.

CM Maryam Nawaz examined the cleanliness situation and performance of the programme across the province.

Maryam ordered the use of uniform dustbins and garbage bags in markets and commercial areas and directed authorities to establish designated timings for waste collection from commercial zones.

She also called for roads to be washed and cleaned from 5am and ordered the cleaning of vacant plots and implementation of door-to-door waste collection.

She directed officials to ensure cleanliness around educational institutions, hospitals, railway tracks, parks, green belts, markets and city entry and exit points.

The chief minister also ordered regular cleaning of Suthra Punjab vehicles, containers and waste collection points and directed deputy commissioners to maintain coordination with contractors and WASA managing directors.
