PTI believes in public service: Mehmood

Provincial Minister for Local Bodies Mian Mehmoodur Rashid on Tuesday regretted that the past rulers launched projects only for personal projection while real needs of the people were ignored. As a result, sanitation and water supply issues have been compounded.

Provincial Minister for Local Bodies Mian Mehmoodur Rashid was speaking at the inauguration of Shahkam Underpass project here on Tuesday.

He regretted that the past political jugglers continued to deceive the people while doing nothing for the provincial metropolis. This political juggler wasted billions of rupees on his personal projection but now people have understood his reality.

On the other side, CM Usman Buzdar is silently serving the masses and backward areas are being developed. Every citizen of Lahore will have access to clean drinking water within two years, he added.

In his speech Wasa vice chairman and member LDA Governing Body Sh Imtiaz Mehmood said that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has resolved prolonged problems of the LDA affectees.

“Usman Buzdar does not devise exhibitory projects merely for taking votes but to serve the masses in a real manner, he said and added that LDA is going to plant 0.3 million trees.

He said that performance of the last three years of Usman Buzdar government is better than the past 30 years of the successive governments.

Member Governing Body LDA Tariq Sana Bajwa said that LDA is serving the people while following the vision of CM and PM, the govt in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and under the supervision of CM Usman Buzdar, has been striving hard to serve the masses.

The DG LDA pointed out that completion of the underpass will facilitate the movement of people living in more than 15 towns and localities, adding that the project will help save fuel worth of Rs24 million of the public every year.
