LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) retrieved 11 plots worth tens of millions during an operation against land grabbers and encroachments in different blocks of Johar Town on Tuesday.
LDA teams retrieved 11 plots (five measuring 12 marla each, one measuring seven marla, two measuring five marla each, and three measuring three marla each) during operations in A-3, H-2, R-1 and F-1 blocks of Johar Town.
LDA teams demolished illegal constructions and temporary/permanent encroachments on these plots. LDA Director Housing VII, Yawar Virk, supervised the operation carried out by enforcement teams with the help of heavy machinery and the Police.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against land grabbers, encroachments, and violations of bylaws in housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas. He also directed taking measures to ensure the protection of public properties.
